Borax is used as a polymer in this recipe for gak, aka. goop, slime, flubber... If you do not already have a box of Borax at home, you are missing out! This has many uses for even your laundry, bathroom, kitchen and arts & crafts!
You Will Need:
1/2 teaspoon Borax
1/2 cup Elmers White Glue
2 x 1/3 cup of Water
food coloring
zip lock baggie
Directions:
Mix together glue 1/3 cup warm water and food coloring (glue solution ) in a small bowl.
In a medium zip lock baggie, mix Borax and 1/3 cup warm water.(Borax solution)
Pour glue solution into baggie (Borax solution), gently knead (squash) together.
You can squish it...
Make it droop...
Stare at it...
Put it in cups and make obscene sounds....
I will warn you though, I think people 25 and up enjoyed it more than the toddlers!
Heidi is 3 1/2 and helped stir ingredients as well as picking out the colors. Great and easy project to do with your kids!
